iMSPORT.TV – The Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian Contingent for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono, is confident that weightlifting will be the mainstay of the Indonesian Contingent’s gold medal winnings in the multi-sport event.
Bayu believes that the readiness of Indonesian weightlifting athletes and coaches has been good so far, with high discipline and consistent enthusiasm in carrying out the training program.
“So, we believe that Indonesian weightlifting is indeed superior, especially since we also won gold at the Olympics. So, we are confident that the upcoming SEA Games will be one of Indonesia’s gold mines,” said Bayu after observing the preparations of the Indonesian weightlifting team at the Kwini Mess, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
He stated that the Indonesian weightlifting team’s target for the upcoming SEA Games is to win as many gold medals as possible.
At the 2023 Cambodian Games, the Indonesian team won five gold medals and now hopes to increase that to at least seven to eight.
