iMSPORT.TV – The Indonesian Men’s National Basketball Team will face a busy schedule at the 2025 SEA Games. However, team manager Rivaldo Tandra Pangesthio is not concerned about this.
The Indonesian Men’s National Basketball Team is in the same pool as Myanmar, Singapore, and host Thailand. Matches will be played from December 13-15, 2025.
Rivaldo stated that the busy schedule is indeed a challenge for his team. However, he does not consider it a major issue for the Indonesian Men’s National Basketball Team.
“After reviewing and studying the released 2025 SEA Games match schedule, we as the National Team management, feel the team is ready to face the format and intensity of the competition,” said Rivaldo, as reported by the Indonesia Basketball website, Wednesday (November 26, 2025).
The Indonesian Men’s National Basketball Team will begin its campaign against Myanmar at Nimibutr Stadium in Thailand on December 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM WIB. In their second match, they will face Thailand on December 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM WIB.
Singapore will be the Senior Men’s National Team’s final opponent in the pool stage. The match will take place on December 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM WIB.
Indonesian Men’s National Basketball Team Not Worried About Busy Schedule at 2025 SEA Games
Rivaldo said this busy schedule would not dampen the Indonesian Men’s National Basketball Team’s determination to achieve the best possible result. He emphasized that this situation had been anticipated.
“A packed schedule is nothing new for us, as we’ve been designing a preparation program to deal with scenarios like this from the start,” he emphasized.
The Indonesian Men’s National Basketball Team has been conducting match simulations with a tight schedule during training. In addition to training in Jakarta, they also recently held a tryout in Australia.
“During the tryout in Australia, the team also underwent a series of matches and training sessions with a very tight schedule,” said Rivaldo.
“The hope is that the players can adapt to the rhythm of consecutive matches, the rapid recovery, and the pressure of competition similar to the SEA Games schedule. This experience provides an important foundation for the players in terms of physical, mental, and consistent performance,” he concluded.
