
iMSPORT.TV – “Dr. Gongsak” calls on Thais to join the 90-day countdown uniting the nation to cheer with all their hearts for victory at the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games.
Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), has presided over a press conference under the theme
“9/9: 90-Day Countdown Unite Thais to Cheer for the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games.”
In attendance were Thana Chaiprasit, Vice President and Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand; Natthaphon Na Songkhla, Director of the Cultural Diplomacy Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Pheephakorn Niamyai, Senior Diplomat (Advisor); Charnwit Munikanon, President of the Sports Association for Intellectual Disability of Thailand and representative of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF); Prodpran Samanmitr, SAT Deputy Governor for Professional Sports and Boxing; Preecha Lalun, SAT Deputy Governor for Sports Excellence and Sports Science; Thatchanat Thongprakob, SAT Deputy Governor for Strategy and Information Technology; together with national team athletes, Thai and ASEAN media.
The press conference took place at Beacon Zone 2, 1st Floor, CentralWorld, on September 9, 2025, in a vibrant atmosphere with strong participation from attendees eager to follow the highlights.
In his remarks, the SAT Governor announced that over the next 90 days, Thailand—represented by the three host provinces of Bangkok, Chon Buri, and Songkhla, and supported by the Thai people—will stand ready to welcome athletes and guests as hosts of the 33rd SEA Games, set for December 9–20, 2025.
He confirmed that preparations across all sectors are on track. Thailand is also finalizing arrangements to host the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Nakhon Ratchasima Province from January 20–26, 2026.
“Over the coming 90 days, this will be a crucial time to raise awareness nationwide and to encourage all Thais to take part as gracious hosts ensuring athletes, officials, and delegations from across Southeast Asia leave with the best impression. Thailand will once again demonstrate its capability and experience in organizing international sporting events,” he emphasized.

The press conference also unveiled the official theme song of the 33rd SEA Games, “1%,” composed by renowned rapper F.HERO (Golf–Nattawut Srimhok) in collaboration with V Violette (Violette Wautier), a Thai-Belgian singer, songwriter, and actress. In addition, six Thai national athletes shared their inspirations and readiness ahead of the 33rd SEA Games and 13th ASEAN Para Games: Vareeraya Sukasem (skateboarding), Warawut Saengsriruang (jujitsu), Jormkon Pumseenil (esports), Rungroj Thainiyom (ASEAN Para Games—table tennis), Sasipaporn Janthawisut (volleyball), and Atcharaporn Kongyot (volleyball).
Following the briefing, the athletes participated in the awareness campaign “INSPIRE THE GAME: Sports Clinic to Ignite Dreams,” held in parallel at Eden Zone, 1st Floor, CentralWorld. They interacted with the public and gave sports demonstrations, attracting significant interest from attendees and onlookers.
The awareness campaign for Thailand’s hosting of the 33rd SEA Games and 13th ASEAN Para Games will continue through a Road Show and Troop Caravan across the three host provinces: Chon Buri in October 2025, Songkhla in November 2025, and Nakhon Ratchasima in January 2026.
