iMSPORT.TV – Diananda Choirunisa remains in contention and is preparing for tomorrow’s Round of 16 match against an American athlete.
Indonesian archer Diananda Choirunisa advanced to the Round of 16 after defeating Kumari Deepika of India 6-4 in the women’s recurve event at the 2025 Hyundai Archery World Cup in South Korea.
“Diana is still in contention and is preparing for tomorrow’s Round of 16 match against an athlete from the United States,” said Abdul Rasak, Deputy Chairman II for Development and Achievement of the Indonesian Archery Association (PB Perpani).
Abdul, who accompanied the Indonesian archery team in the competition, explained that Diananda is the only Indonesian representative still competing in the championship.
Previously, athlete Yurike Nina Bonita Pereira also advanced quite far, but ultimately failed in the round of eight. Similarly, the women’s team also advanced to the round of eight.
Meanwhile, the men’s team was eliminated early in the preliminary round.

Diananda Choirunisa Advances to the Round of 16 of the 2025 Hyundai Archery World Cup
Abdul hopes that Diananda will continue to show her best performance in the next round, overcoming her opponents and advancing further in the championship.
“Hopefully, Diananda can perform consistently and reach the final,” he said.
In the Archery World Championship, PB Perpani is fielding 12 athletes as part of preparations for the 2025 SEA Games, which will be held in Thailand in December.
