Ahead of the 2025 SEA Games, Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir stated that he would soon discuss with the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), and sports officials. The meeting will review the established targets.

This is to ensure that the targets align with the potential and readiness of the athletes who will be sent.
“I, along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, held a meeting with the 2025 SEA Games verification team to review preparations for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this December,” Erick wrote on his Instagram account, quoted on Sunday (September 21, 2025).
“With limited time, we will discuss with the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), and the sports officials to review the targets set for each sport,” he added.
Indonesia Has the Potential to Send a Large Contingent
Erick also emphasized the importance of coordination with various relevant parties to ensure the athletes are fully prepared to compete in the event. He hopes that thorough preparation will lead the Indonesian team to victory at the 2025 SEA Games.
