iMSPORT.TV – Indonesian Kickboxing : Targets Additional Gold Medals for the 2025 SEA Games. The Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian team for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono, personally inspected the kickboxing National Training Center at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday (10/14/2025). This visit was conducted to ensure the athletes were on the right track, especially after their success in bringing home impressive results from the World Championships.

During the visit, Bayu was accompanied by Raja Sapta Oktohari, the Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia). Bayu expressed his admiration for the fighting spirit of the Garuda fighters who had just returned with impressive results from the 2025 Kickboxing World Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

At the world event, Indonesia successfully won two gold medals and two bronze medals. Aprilia Eka Putri Lumbantungkup (women’s K1 52 kg category) and Enggar Bayu Saputra (men’s full contact 57 kg category) won the gold medals. Meanwhile, Abzul Aziz Chalim (men’s kicklight 57 kg category) and Sevi Nurul Aini (women’s lowkick 48 kg category) contributed two bronze medals.

Kickboxing is an extraordinary sport. We just proved we can compete at the world level at the World Cup in Uzbekistan. Now I’ve seen firsthand the focus and passion of the athletes at the National Training Center. I’m confident they can once again bring honor to Indonesia at the upcoming SEA Games,” Bayu told the media, in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/14/2025).

Furthermore, Bayu emphasized that this positive momentum must be maintained until the match day. With consistency, Bayu is optimistic that Indonesia will achieve positive results.
