iMSPORT.TV – The Indonesian women’s volleyball team will play in the final of the 2025 Asian Youth Games, facing Iran at Isa bin Rashid Sports City Hall on Wednesday (October 29, 2025).
The U18 Indonesian women’s volleyball team, coached by Marcos Sugiyama, advanced to the final after a stunning 3-0 victory (26-24, 27-25, 25-17) over Thailand in the semifinal on Monday (October 28, 2025).
Team Indonesia displayed remarkable resilience in the first two sets, turning things around even after Thailand reached set point first.
In the decisive third set, Marcos Sugiyama’s squad played with full confidence. Indonesia pulled ahead midway through the game and kept widening the gap (18-12), thanks to aggressive attacks from the front line.
Putri Naisya Pratama, a player from Rajawali O2C Club, became the match winner after her powerful spike caused a block-out, earning Indonesia the decisive point. Naisya then sealed the victory with an ace, sending Indonesia into the championship match.
In the women’s volleyball final at the 2025 Asian Youth Games, Indonesia will face a tough opponent — Iran.

Both teams previously met in the Pool E playoff round, where Indonesia, coached by Marcos Sugiyama, fell 0-3 (18-25, 21-25, 22-25).
Meanwhile, Iran advanced to the final after defeating the Philippines 3-1 (26-28, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18).
The 2025 Asian Youth Games women’s volleyball final will be a golden opportunity for Putri Naisya and teammates to take revenge on Iran.
