Indonesia Ranks 13th Out of 57 Countries Competing in ISG 2025

iMSPORT.TV – The Indonesian contingent finished the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, finishing 13th out of 57 competing countries.

The Red and White team finished the event with a total of 25 medals, consisting of four gold, 12 silver, and nine bronze.

I am very happy and proud of the results achieved by the Indonesian athletes. Despite the small contingent, they demonstrated their maximum ability and fought wholeheartedly,” said Endri Erawan, Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent for ISG Riyadh 2025, in a statement from the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) in Jakarta.

The results demonstrate that Indonesia remains in a better position than other Islamic countries.

Endri hopes this result will motivate the athletes to strive to proclaim Indonesia Raya on the global sporting stage.

Indonesia’s ranking at this year’s ISG is lower than its achievement at the 2021 ISG Konya in Turkey, where Indonesia finished seventh with 13 gold, 14 silver, and 29 bronze medals. At that time, Indonesia sent 87 athletes to compete in 13 sports.

Meanwhile, at the ISG Riyadh, the number of athletes sent was smaller, with 39 competing in seven sports.

Indonesia’s participation this year was not at full strength as several athletes were focused on preparing for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand at the end of the year.
