PB PABSI Secretary General, Major General (Mar) Djoko Pramono, explained that a total of 17 lifters will represent Indonesia: 10 senior athletes (5 men and 5 women) at the World Championships, and 7 junior lifters (3 men and 4 women) at the Asian Youth Games.

We are sending two teams, senior and junior, with challenges that will not be easy. Many new competition categories will be contested by our young athletes, so the strength map of our opponents is not yet fully predictable,” said Djoko Pramono.

The senior team is scheduled to depart for Norway on Saturday night, September 28, 2025, and will begin their first matches on October 3, 2025. The entire contingent asks for the prayers and support of the Indonesian people to achieve the best possible results.

The send-off of the national teams marks the beginning of a major battle on the world stage. PB PABSI firmly believes that on the shoulders of these athletes rests not only the weight of barbells, but also the hopes and pride of a nation.
