
iMSPORT.TV – China continues to dominate the medal tally of the Asian Youth Games (AYG) 2025, with a total of 147 medals comprising 63 gold, 49 silver, and 35 bronze.
The Asian Youth Games 2025 has officially reached its final day. It is unlikely that there will be any significant changes in the standings, as today marks the closing ceremony of the tournament held in Bahrain from October 22 to 31, 2025.
Indonesia concluded its AYG 2025 campaign in 15th place in the final medal standings ahead of Japan!
This result is considered highly positive, as Indonesia’s young athletes gave their all throughout the competition in Bahrain.
Indonesia collected a total of 28 medals, consisting of four gold, six silver, and 18 bronze. This achievement placed Indonesia above Japan, which finished 16th with four gold, six silver, and eight bronze.
The Asian Youth Games 2025, held from October 22 to 31 in Bahrain, served as an important platform for young Asian athletes to showcase their potential and as a benchmark for sports development in each country.
Indonesia’s 15th-place finish is seen as a positive signal for the growth of youth athletes. Although Indonesia has not yet broken into the top 10, the athletes’ consistent performances and strong fighting spirit have been widely appreciated, showing progress in several sporting disciplines.
At the top of the standings, China was utterly dominant, collecting 147 medals (63 gold, 49 silver, 35 bronze), highlighting the unmatched strength of the nation’s youth sports development programs.
Uzbekistan ranked second with 81 medals (37 gold, 16 silver, 28 bronze), followed by Kazakhstan in third place with 93 medals (24 gold, 29 silver, 40 bronze).
These three nations maintained a significant gap ahead of the rest of the competition.
Record Medal Tally for Indonesia at Asian Youth Games 2025
Thailand and India followed in fifth and sixth place, each earning 48 medals. Thailand recorded 15 gold, 15 silver, and 18 bronze, while India earned 13 gold, 18 silver, and 17 bronze. Hong Kong, the UAE, North Korea, and Taiwan completed the top 10.
Host nation Bahrain also delivered a strong showing, finishing 13th with five gold, five silver, and three bronze medals, while Saudi Arabia, with five gold, four silver, and 13 bronze, ranked just above Indonesia.
Indonesia’s results in Bahrain are expected to serve as motivation for young athletes to continue developing and strengthening the foundation of national sports ahead of future multi-sport events at the Asian and global levels.
