iMSPORT.TV – The Indonesia Men’s 3×3 Basketball National Team is undergoing a series of warm-up events before the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. They joined the Manila Challenger, which took place in the Philippines on September 20–21, 2025.
In this tournament, Indonesia competed under the name East Jakarta. The roster featured Nickson Gosal, Sandy Ibrahim, Surliyadin, and Diftha Pratama.
“The players who went to the Manila Challenger have all played 3×3 before. However, we are re-evaluating them because today’s 3×3 game is very different from the 3×3 game they played a few years ago,” explained 3×3 National Team head coach Fandi Andika Ramadhani.
East Jakarta, representing the Indonesia 3×3 Basketball Team, began their journey from the qualifying round. Drawn into Group B, they faced Shanghai China and SG Marina Bay Jumpshot SGP.

Indonesia Men’s 3×3 Basketball Team Competes at Manila Challenger Ahead of 2025 SEA Games in Thailand
East Jakarta played their first two games today but fell short in both. They lost 8–21 to Shanghai China and 16–21 to SG Marina Bay Jumpshot Singapore.
Coach Fandi Andika Ramadhani emphasized that the players are treating this competition as a valuable learning experience, given the strong level of participants.
“The Manila Challenger can be a good lesson for the team because the participating teams here are very strong,” he said.
