iMSPORT.TV – Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono, Chef de Mission (CdM) for the Indonesian contingent for the 2025 SEA Games, is confident that water skiing and wakeboarding are ready to compete for gold at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this coming December.

Indeed, there are several of Indonesia’s top events (water skiing and wakeboarding) that will not be competed (at the 2025 SEA Games), but we are confident that we can win the four events we are competing in,” Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono told the media during a visit to the Indonesian National Water Skiing and Wakeboarding Team training camp at Sunter Lake, North Jakarta, on Thursday.

He explained that during his visit, he had witnessed the intensive preparations the water skiing and wakeboarding athletes are making to win as many gold medals as possible in Thailand.

The Indonesian water ski and wakeboard team will compete in four events: team slalom, team wakeboard, team wakesurf, and team cable wakeboard.

Therefore, Bayu has high hopes for these sports to win gold medals in all the events they compete in.

Given their extensive training, excellent discipline, high morale, and high energy, it would be great to be able to deliver the best possible performance,” he said.

During his visit to monitor the training camp held by the Indonesian Water Ski and Wakeboard Association (PB PSAWI), Bayu also discussed with the athletes and coaches to explore their aspirations and needs for a smooth competition.
